I upgraded to IOS14, now when I open the emoji keyboard to insert consecutive emoji’s, I have to reopen the keyboard for each one. I’ve tried this in multiple apps, and have the same issue with all of them, so I know it’s not the app. Anyone have a resolution for this? I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the emoji keyboard a couple of times, rebooted my IPad, but nothing seems to work.

It sounds like you're having troubles with the emoji keyboard closing after using each emoji on your iPad.
Please try force closing the apps and then restarting your iPad to see if that persists. The articles below will guide you.

I’m not having trouble closing the emoji keyboard. It closes after each emoji. So, if I want to use multiple emoji’s (i.e., 😂😲) it will close itself after the “😂” and I have to reopen it to insert the “😮” one. I’ve uninstalled the emoji keyboard and reinstalled it, and the issue persists. I thought maybe it was only Facebook having this issue, but it happens on any and all apps I use to key anything.

Correct, we definitely understand. We'd recommend trying the steps from earlier to force close and restart as that can definitely help with issues in apps.

I thank you for your reply, but I’ve done the above tasks, as well as reactivating the emoji keyboard. When apps don’t respond as intended, I always force-close them. I’ve rebooted my iPad as well. The issue still persists.
Ok. I figured it out. I have a keyboard cover for my IPad. I’m using cmd space bar to access the emoji keyboard. When I use that, is when the issue occurs. If I use the iPad keyboard, it works fine. Again, thanks for your replies. It made me go one more step to troubleshoot.
