When I start my iMac I am getting a message that reads “amazon music.app will damage your computer”.

Anyone else having this problem?

How do I fix this and what does it mean?

The solution is to delete the current version by putting it in the bin.

Login to Amazon go to Amazon Music and download the newer desktop application.

Effectively the issue is that as the application isn't available on the App Store the certificates do not get updated, so periodically you will need to refresh third party applications direct from vendor

I had the same issue with the Amazon Music app. I moved the app to trash via the message. I then did a fresh install of Amazon Music app via this link - https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=16962657011. Seems to be all fine now. The Amazon Music app works fine and I am not getting the message anymore. I emptied my trash to complete the removal of the old Amazon Music app after successfully installing it and verifying it worked. I even restarted my Mac to double check. So far so good.
