iPad Air 4 set up time take long time

I JUST got my new iPad Air 4. It keeps loading as: "it may take a few minutes to set up your Apple ID" about three hours, but it still not finished setting up. Am I the only one getting this problem? Or my iPad has some defect?

Setting up my new iPad Pro I just got the new iPad Pro. I started the setup last night, and I went to bed with it still loading, “It may take a few minutes to set up your Apple ID...” it’s been 10 hours and fifty minutes — still on the same screen. I spent several hours yesterday, before the eleven hours, powering off, and rebooting it after a three hour wait, following another two hour wait. I have always had a very positive experience in setting up Apple products. Has it taken anyone else this long? Is this normal? What should I do?

I had the same exact problem, it was very frustrating. In the end I found I was able to set it up by choosing I do not have an apple ID, then choose to add one later. Hope this helps you too!
