iPhone 12 pro scratched screen

I've only had my iPhone 12 pro for 3 days, haven't left the house & yet I already have significant scratches on the 'super strong' ceramic glass front screen! Anyone else experienced this? #notveryhappy

Well, after contacting both Vodafone (my upgrade provider) and Apple, the response for both was no replacement.. Apple support encouraged me to write up a proper negative feedback, which i did and neither of them offered any care advice.

After a bit of research I bought a screen protector by Mous Uk, what they call hybrid glass, and Im very happy wt it. It comes wt an applicator and instructions and I cannot notice the scratches underneath it now, also the touch response is the same as not using any protector. I just wish I knew beforehand about this screen flaw in the new models as I would have waited and installed this even before i turned on the phone for the first time. I never had that with previous models, my last Iphone XS was used wt no screen protector for two years and nothing like this happened.

Apple should definitely review and improve this glass screen, this is not good enough for a device this expensive. #unimpressed

Building one into the phone means having a glass screen protector which sits in line with the frame; not one that protrudes out which you feel each time you swipe up. If it scratches or breaks, I’m one who’s happy to pay $50 for a new one, but not hundreds of dollars for a new screen.

The reality is, plenty of people have complained about scratched screens on their new iPhone 12 without dropping their phones. Go tell your bosses to make screens that don’t scratch this easily. Maybe be awesome and use sapphire crystals instead of so called ‘strong glass’. I know you’re only doing your job, but don’t try and hide this facts from people; screens scratch too easily. This is not covered by your Apple Care Plans either.

Best phone I’ve ever had was the iPhone X. Dropped it from a roof, no issue, scrapped it agains tiles, no scratches. Just put the iPhone X screen on the 12, problem solved.

You were lucky with that drop.

If you go back to that era, there were many posts here from people asking how much it would cost to replace their shattered iPhone X screen.

(Currently it's $279.)

Now yes, people complain it scratches easily but the number of people asking how much it costs to replace a shattered screen is near zero.

Sorry about the screen protectors - but that's exactly why the iPhone glass is the way it is now; Belkin's protectors are designed to be scratch resistant, so they are hard and as a result crack easily.

I've owned every iPhone since the 3GS, I've not used a screen protector since the iPhone 4S and I never get scratches like this. I've had this phone less than a month and it's full of scratches from being in my hand and a soft hoodie, which no, has no sand in it. My iPhone 11 Pro Max, no scratches, my iPhone XS, no scratches.

Somethings up here and blaming the users like certain people are doing isn't right, there's a problem and its not that glass, is glass, we all know that, the screen is inferior and for the first time since the 4S I have to protect this inferior screen.

LOL that I'm not adding to the discussion. Either put a screen protector on your phone or continue to get scratches. I don't know what else you think anyone can offer you. Apple isn't going to replace your screen. Scratches are cosmetic damage, which are simply NOT covered by iPhone warranty.
