Apple logo then screen flicker then Apple logo then screen flicker etc.

My iPhone Xs crashed a couple hours ago, then it attempted to restart itself but never got past the Apple icon before the screen went black, and then it repeats (boot loop?)I tried to restore it using my Mac but it didn't work and it keeps showing the Apple logo, then the screen flickers with blue horizontal lines halfway across the screen about an inch apart, and starts all over again. Can I try

You need to put your phone into "recovery mode" as explained in this link:
