I believe this thread started as an Issue connecting iPhone 12 via Bluetooth to models of Homewerks bathroom light/fan/speaker then others jumped in on various other Bluetooth issues like JBL speakers, cars, etc. I encourage everyone who has a Homewerks bathroom light/fan/speaker to call Apple Support at 1-800-APLCARE and request a ticket be open for tracking the obvious problem that all model Apple phones connect to this particular bathroom fan except many versions of the iPhone 12. Then call back every two weeks for update on status of the open tickets amongst many... including Homeworks themselves that sent these bathroom fans to Apple for troubleshooting.
I've had difficulties connecting Sony WH-1000XM3 and B&W PX headphones with my new iPhone 12 pro max. The headphones simply don't show up on the list of devices to be connected via Bluetooth.
I tried shutting down before turning on both the phone and the phone several times, with or without WiFi. No use.
The two sets of headphones were purchased in the last year and there were never any issues connecting them to my iPhone 7 plus, which I replaced only a month ago.
I have the same problem. BT NC headset Teufel mute BT. Shows in list (a bit sporadically though), but would not pair. Other devices, also iPad 2019 and older iPhones, as well as Android devices, work flawlessly.
No luck for me...i was having other phone issues so apple replaced it and then new iPhone12 has the exact same problem...finds the devices but fails in pairing....this is pathetic that they have not been able to fix this yet...
I’m having the same issues with my HomeWerks Bluetooth fan. The HomeWerks fan connects to my iPad Air 2, my iPhone 11 Pro Max, ext, ext, but not one of our three iPhone 12 Pro Max’s. It shows it’s ready to pair on all of our iPhone 12 Pro Max’s but when we click pair the HomeWerk’s Bluetooth bathroom fan says it’s unable to pair with any of our iPhone 12 Pro Max’s. I spent close to $4,000 for these three phones and they won’t pair with my bathroom Bluetooth music fan, bummer. Let’s gooooo Apple 🍎 get this fixed.

what's next?
I suggest starting a new thread, and put the exact BT problem you have in the subject. There are hundreds of possible BT problems, and it’s almost unheard of for any device to have all of them.

I guess these threads are not for issues that Apple needs to address?
That’s correct, the forum is not for issues that Apple needs to address, because the people at Apple who might be able to do something about a problem don’t participate in Apple Support Communities, which is a user-to-user technical support forum where other users, based on their experience and knowledge, try to resolve issues that might be operator problems or misunderstandings, or issues that have workarounds.
There are several ways to get Apple to address problems:
Yes, I paired the iPhone 12 pro to my Toyota and a UE Mini Boom speaker. The third device I tried to pair is a JBL Extreme speaker many times and it will not connect, doesn't even show up in the device list.
This is ridiculous that a big brand name receiver such aa your Yamaha won’t pair with Apples new iPhone 12.
Many of us including myself are having pairing issues with our HomeWerks bathroom music fans or vent’s with the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apple surely must know the huge Bluetooth issues the iPhone 12 Pro Max is having.
I was sent two replacement speakers also by Homewerks. Not sure why they sent me two? Maybe one for back up?
when I emailed Homewerks they responded to me in less than 5 minutes to let me know they will send the replacement speakers. I received the new speakers in one week, removed the old speaker and installed the new speaker, and now my iPhone 12 Pro connects to the Homewerks Bluetooth speaker fan and it works like a charm and I got my music back in the shower! Cheers!!!
My husband and I recently purchased iPhone 12’s and they won’t connect to our Philips Metalux Light Speakers installed in the garage. My husband does wood working projects out there and is annoyed that he can’t have streaming music through the speakers now.
I'm having the same issue, but with my Lypertek Tevi Wireless headphones. Incredibly frustrating! They have been working fine across all of my other apple devices for the past three months, having seamlessly connected to everything when I first bought them... other than with the iphone 12.
I downloaded the Lypertek app which did force them to appear under my bluetooth devices, but said it wouldn't pair.
This is highly disappointing, and quite frankly ruining that seamless apple experience. Get it together!
There is clearly a bluetooth issue with the 12 as evidenced by this chain - as well as my own attempt with pairing...common sense wins here. The folks in this chain aren't idiots, we all just want our phone to do what it's supposed to do. We will all just have to wait for some update issued with some other guise of a fix and it will then work again

I ended up going to Apple support and we found the source of my difficulty. I had an old ID conflicting with the present one. I didn't remember the old one at all. So some apps simply wouldn't work. That was repaired and all was fine except for one app that simply didn't work on my new iphone 12- Gett taxi. Was fine on my ipad so the problem was on the mobile. Had worked fine on my 8+. I played around and tried shutting down my vpn and voila! Gett works fine now. I don't know why the vpn was blocking it.
So now my new iphone 12 is working the way it should.
Thanks for help. Tzipora
My iPhone 12 has just started having bluetooth connection problems. It will show that my paired speaker is connected but the sound will still play through the phone. I have to force stop the program, such as Pandora, and also have to turn blue tooth off and pair the speaker again. Other times I have shut down the phone, and then reconnected everything. This is a lot of work just to play some music, and it just started about a week ago.
Have other people had the same problem?
I’ve had my new iPhone 12 for 1 month and all my previously connected Bluetooth devices have connected except my treadmill speakers which I used with my previous iPhone 11. Same problem as everyone else, it sees it but then gives the error. Soooooo frustrating!!!
