I believe this thread started as an Issue connecting iPhone 12 via Bluetooth to models of Homewerks bathroom light/fan/speaker then others jumped in on various other Bluetooth issues like JBL speakers, cars, etc. I encourage everyone who has a Homewerks bathroom light/fan/speaker to call Apple Support at 1-800-APLCARE and request a ticket be open for tracking the obvious problem that all model Apple phones connect to this particular bathroom fan except many versions of the iPhone 12. Then call back every two weeks for update on status of the open tickets amongst many... including Homeworks themselves that sent these bathroom fans to Apple for troubleshooting.

Same issue but I'm not able to connect my iPhone12 to my Apple desktop. Same error messages as you all have indicated. And when I click on "options" next to "connect" prompt in the bluetooth window, it is asking for a 4 digit code shown on my iphone to connect with the device. What code? There is nothing that was sent to my phone and it says to see the documentation that came with my bluetooth device if you don't know the code or are having trouble connecting.....are you kidding me? I'm ready to return this new phone and just continue to use my iPhoneX....Never had this much difficulty with bluetooth connection. Awful.

i am going to Apple store tomorrow most likely for a new phone...having lots of other issues with this new iphone12....cellular connectivity turning on and off randomly and then siri working and not working randomly....when i need it to do something like set a time or lower the temperature on my thermostat it does not respond to "Hey Siri" but other times it does work....figures when i need it to work cause my hands are tied up it doesnt....i hope this fixes all the problems but i am skeptical about the bluetooth issue being fixed....i think aple screwed up big time with this one.....i will let you all know though if the new phone works....

Apple is selling defective phones. I traded 2 perfectly good iPhone 8’s for the iPhone 12. As far as I’m concerned I would like my iPhone 8’s back ASAP. Apple knew that Bluetooth had issues but they still pushed it out to keep mass producing. This never happened with Steve Jobs. Now it’s all about making them as cheap as possible but sell them at high dollar. They are really going Green. They should be sued for knowingly selling defective phones and not disclosing that info to consumers.

Can someone explain me how is this thread marked as solved?

I went through all comments, including the one marked as the "solution" and there is no solution. One comment mentions that resetting the network configuration worked for him. I did that three times with two different iPhone 12 Pro Max and none worked. The same BT speaker was successfully connected to iPhones 7, 8, and 10. Yet, no luck with the iPhone 12.

I have no idea why is this thread marked as solved and can assure that no comment so far properly addressed the OP issue.

The OP was not specific when he mentioned "Anyone else having issues with certain devices...", which makes it hard to specify whether the issue was resolved or not.

However, the thread has a post by maccorso on Nov 30, 2020 4:12 PM that is marked as the solution. The post itself makes it clear that BT connectivity on the iPhone 12 is flawed, blames Apple for letting this situation go unchecked, and ask them to do something about it. That is, the post is not a solution at all, no matter how precise or not the OP was.

I believe this is what iPhone12ProBTP was referring to in his post (it is actually a reply to the maccorso's post). I have no idea why that post was marked as a solution (allegedly by the OP).

In fact, and to your point, the OP asked for thoughts (versus asking for a precise answer), so no answer should be marked as "solved" while many could be marked as "helpful."

Apart from all the above, I went through all potential solutions (not many) and none addressed what seems to be the problem with the highest number of posts in this thread: bathroom BT speakers that worked with all previous iPhones are not working with the iPhone 12. Having a post marked as "solved" is misleading as it makes one believe that this and other BT issues raised in the thread are solved, which is far from being true.

OP (PetePPB): if you agree with the above comments, please remove the "solved" tag from maccorso's post. I believe only you (and the admins of this list) can do that.
