“IMAP-mail.outlook.com cannot be verified” error message in iPad

I am getting a message on my iPad that will not go away. It is “IMAP-mail.outlook.com cannot be verified”. Please help.

Hello tammi181,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're receiving an error message related to your Outlook email account on iPad. When this error pops up and you select to view "Details" are you showing anything regard the certificate not being trusted? If so, you can view information regarding the Apple Lists of available trusted root certificates in iOS. Ultimately you may need to contact and work with Microsoft to correct this issue with your Outlook email account.
