I have MacOS 10.15.7 and Logic Pro X 10.5.1. running on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3.
When I create a new project with 1 track and then I try to drag 55 wave files from the finder into Logic to create new tracks, Logic either hesitates and eventually imports the files, or Logic goes to not responding.
How can I stabilize the application?
One more detail to mention: the wave files were initially located within a Dropbox folder that was shared with me. Since the Dropbox is integrated into the Finder, I didn't think the remote location would be the cause of the issue.
I copied the wave files from Dropbox onto an external HDD and the import process was much better.
Yes, using synced cloud storage can be an issue. Avoid it for anything A/V related as much as possible. Using it for zipped transfers is OK.
