Brother scanner on wifi network

Hello,

I have a Brother DCP-L2620DW printer scanner. It is connected with wifi on local network. The printer installs just fine on the Mac pc, but I cannot see a scanner.

If I open "voorvertoning.app" then when I click on the menu in 'archive' -> import from scanner is greyed out.

The scanner works perfect on other machines in same network (Linux machines) over wifi.

Should I download additional drivers or so to get this scanner to work?

Hi,

Do you mean DCP-L2520DW?

Are you using AirPrint?

For the DCP-L2520DW, if necessary, you may want to have a look at the drivers/software available for download from Brother.

At the same time, it may be a good idea to check that the printer has the latest firmware version.

Hello,

I downloaded the drivers at: https://support.brother.com/g/b/producttop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=dcpl2520dw_us_eu

There exists a printer driver and a scanner driver. So I installed the scanner driver (because printer was working good without installing anything).

After rebooting the pc I had scan option into 'voorvertoning.app' and working. So I can go along.

Thanks for all help.

Regards, Wilfried
