How to get the Stocks app on iPhone X updating again,? It is frozen.

Tried closing the app and starting again, tried turning the phone off and on, tried resetting the identifier under settings, the background refresh app is on, it was working two days ago. It’s working on another iPhone, so seems to be in specific to this iPhone.If I delete the app and install a game, will the stocks entered disappear or will they still be there under my Apple ID account?

It does indeed sound like an issue on this particular device.
No, deleting the stocks app will not permanently delete the data. Once you re-download it all your previous stocks will still be there so I’d give that a try.
Thanks for the advice, deleted the stocks app and reloaded, went to open the app it says “stocks unavailable, please try again later”. And rest is a blank screen. I deleted the app again. Maybe I should wait a little while before getting it from the App Store again?
Tried to download Stocks app on LTE. Also deleted many photos because iCloud storage was full so now I have 0.2 GB left, Just in case that was contributing since I had been getting messages that iCloud storage no longer occurring since it was full. Still get See message with the stocks app - “stocks unavailable, please try again later”.🥺
iOS 13.2? That’s quite an old firmware and could actually be the reason the stocks app isn’t working.
I would suggest you install the latest iOS 14.1 and try again, if it’s still not working after that contact Apple directly at https://support.apple.com/ as really at that stage I have no idea what could be going wrong.
Stock apps can’t be updated manually.
If yours aren’t working force close the app(s) in question.
If they’re still not working try deleting them and reinstalling from the App Store.

Yes, good idea.
Try using a different internet connection too, like another WiFi network or LTE.
