I have had issues with repeated Apple ID. I had to sign out and sign back in. Once back in, all my documents are on iCloud Drive Archive. I have clicked keychain thinking it was a good idea but now, it looks like I have lost a lot of documents. How can I sync my mac and get all my document downloaded on my computer again? When you turn off iCloud, it disables Desktop & Documents in iCloud Drive. That will move all of your Desktop and Documents folders into the iCloud Archive folder.
You need to transfer the documents from the Archive back into your Desktop and Documents folders.

They should already be on your computer in the iCloud Drive Archive folder.
