Drag selection in the browser

In earlier versions of iMovie you could drag select a selection on a clip in the browser. Is there a secret modifier key combination to enable this, or is it just gone? Nothin against marking I/O, but I kind of liked the swiftness of grabbing selections and chucking them in the timeline. Any way to bring it back?

iMovie Projects Window - Choosing Which Clip to Display Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to select a specific clip to be displayed in the iMovie Projects window? At the moment it seems to select a random part of my project and I would to select a specific point in the movie. iMovie 10.1.14 Media clip issues Why is there no longer the option to have an ORANGE LINE at top of MEDIA CLIPS denoting that the clip is being used in the TIMELINE?...and a RED LINE for deleted clips AND, how can I add a portion of a MEDIA CLIPS to TIMELINE by dragging the part of the clip I want to move to Timeline rather than having to move the entire clip to the TIMELINE?...as you see I trying to do in the below video.

iMovie 10 - Trim Clip/Nudge all greyed out I am tying to align a video and audio track in timeline, I know I can drag the clips and magnify them too to make it easier but I would like to be able to use a keyboard shortcut to nudge the frame itself one frame to the left or right. Sadly everything in the Modify/Trim Clip Edge drop down list is greyed out, also I have not been able to find any shortcuts?? Using iMovie 10.3.1 on Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.5

Just click the clip and the selection handles appear at front and rear.

Try holding down the R key whilst dragging.

The R key? Why R? What's that even mean? Why not just a modifier?

Holding down R works the same in the Timeline unlike FCP X where simply hitting the R key selects the Range tool.

PS. That was for anyone else reading this thread who is not familiar with iMovie or FCP X. 😀
