HELP ME PLEASE

I have an iPhone X.

All I want is to have my photos on my new laptop so I can securely store them. When I plug it in it wont let me transfer them because iCloud is enabled. When I try to disable iCloud, and download my photos back to phone(full resolution) it says my phone cant download them back.

Probably like 3 times now, have I spent LITERALLY HOURS AND HOURS going through 10,000+ photos on my phone, deleting thousands and then have them REAPPEAR ON MY PHONE. Its like my phone is not syncing properly with iCloud. Finally tonight, the photos I was deleting off my phone, were deleting off of iCloud-yay! (I had previously had to go through BOTH my phone and iCloud separately to delete thousands of photos) So I spent another 3 hours deleting photos, only to have them COME BACK ON ICLOUD. I am beyond outraged and dont know how to get my photos off my phone. I have heard of Anytrans??? Does anybody know if this is a solution to my problem. I dont want to spend money on something else that wont work properly.

I tried manually downloading each photo but it only lets me select what is showing on the screen, which then creates separate folders for each download. I would end up with hundreds of folders to sort through on my laptop. Someone please give me a solution and help me I am desperate. I have been trying to manage my photos for like a year now. Cant wait to delete iCloud.

iPhone X, iOS 13

I tried, my computer (Windows 10) wont recognize my photos if iCloud is enabled lol

Did you already download iCloud for Windows -- Download iCloud for Windows - Apple Support as this might make the process easier?

As another option, you can download a third-party storage option, e.g. Google Photos to pull the photos from your iCloud which will then allow you to clear up the space in iCloud and simultaneously on your device.

My phones too full, I basically bought a laptop to put all my photos on there, and on my external device. Getting them off of iCloud was the problem. I was just trying to sort through them to downsize the amount I’d have to download, but when I delete them from my phone. They don’t delete from iCloud, and then they come back on my phone lol

The only thing that seems to work right now, is to select max 50 photos, and download them 50 at a time, then extract them to another folder. Then they take time to sync. So it looks like it will work, will just take me FOREVER. Won’t let you select all and download more than 1000 photos at a time. Yet they make it impossible to select more than what’s showing on the current screen🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ You’d think they’d have a better system by now absolutely ridiculous

Or you mean straight from iCloud.com. That’s what I’m currently doing. But it’s going to probably take me a week just to get them on there, then another month to sort through. Not to mention I didn’t realize the “low resolution photos” included the edited ones. So all the live photos that I’ve edited and get back in high res, will no longer be edited cuz it’ll go back to original photo. I just wish I never got iCloud
