From your Home Screen, swipe left until you get to the App Library.

Swipe downward and you'll get an alphabetical list of your apps.

Locate the app in the list or type the app name into the search field

Once you've located the app, tap/hold until it raises/selects, then drag it and it'll pop out to your Home Screen

the 'new feature' certainly has it's utility for me. I have over 300 apps on my phone and don't regularly use them all. Removing from Home Screen is a great way for me to clean up my Home Screen

Hello T.C Level 6

I have a IPhone 8s

If you delete saved links on your Home Screen by accident is there a way of getting them back I have saved links that have been there for a few years I save them to show Oncologists

I know I can hear everyone say print the link or save it in your notes

I have cancer and I’m on pain killers so I forget to to my checklists sometimes and I can’t afford a printer as ink is too dear

So anyway is it possible to find a link you have deleted from home screen (and you can’t remember where you got link from lol)

The photo below shows when all the apps or links show the minus symbols and they shake

This happens because I hold my iPhone as I am at a lot of appointments with health professionals and naturapath etc

I thought you can lock your screen to prevent this and use a passcode to get back into Home Screen each time ,which I don’t mind doing

I miss that feature

Keep scrolling right until you get to APP library and find the missing app and drag it to the page or screen you want it on and drop it there - I had to drop into a box with another and then move that other app to a further page but it did work - It is a stupid feature that allows you to easily accidentally delete apps and make it hard for you to keep your screens the way you are used to them and then makes it super hard for you to retrieve the accidentally deleted app!

This happened to me too. What you have to do is go into the app store, find the app you’re trying to delete in recently updated (there might be another place but recently updated was the only place that gave me the option to delete and not just hide it), and slide it to the left so the delete option comes up. Hit that, hit delete, and the app should be removed from your phone.

I accident did something to my Icon for my Clock that came with my phone. It’s not on my home screen. I just saw tonight a group of different boxes that had all of my different apps grouped together and I found my clock that I was looking for.

i looked in the App Store however don’t see anything that matches t to the clock that I am looking for.

My first question is how can I bring back the screen that has all of my apps grouped together again.

My second question is how can I get the clock icon back onto my Home Screen.

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this mattter.

I accidentally did the same remove from Home Screen myself -App Library will open my missing -“GRUBHUB” app but it won’t stay on Home Screen-every time I need it I can only bring it out to the Home Screen temporarily to use it! I thought with a working laptop I could go to ITunes but I’ve used my iphone as my computer for last 8-9 years or more -with 512Gb on my iphone -it’s as big as anything I owned as a laptop previously -still think there should be a way-my old iphone ( new phone only a day old) still has GRUBHUB app but no phone service -but battery is so dead even constant USB Cord charging can’t keeper battery charged enough-it still dies when plugged in any using it ! If you figure it out let us know how to recover apps we only removed from Home Screen!

I had a problem with restoring an icon to Home Screen (podcasts) as others have posted. Could only get opportunity to “open” from AppStore but not download. Found I could fix it by going to podcasts in IPad settings General then tapping on it, then turning on “reset identifier”. The icon appeared on the Home Screen again after the next time I opened podcasts from the AppStore. Might help someone else.

Chris0107's response worked well. The only suggestion is to add "swipe left - to get to the screen on the phone's FAR RIGHT side. This will then show your app library and then you can move it from the library to your home screen. When I did this procedure it automatically added it to the screen and I did not need to physically move it. Thanks for the on this.
