Airpods codec stuck on SCO via Macbook Pro

This was a Question in 2017 before. Some Answer was to use the internal Microphone. Thats so fix!

But now, here's my Problem.

Im using a MacBook and via Bluetooth my AirPods.

If i playing Music the Codec is AAC and i have a perfect Sound.

If i have a call, the Codec change to SCO because of the Microphone and the Sound is horrible.

I cant understand why there's no fix for this problem.

Is there anyone here who actually managed to solve the Problem? If not, that would be an urgent suggestion to apple to solve this Problem. That is for the best of sake not to accept Apple devices at the prices.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Greetings, chrshn.

It appears that you're having a problem with your AirPods when connected to your MacBook Pro. Music sounds fine, but if you answer a call the sound quality drops significantly. We understand how important it is to have these devices working together correctly, and we're glad to help with this.

Please test the issue after each step:

While holding both the Shift and Option keys, click on the Bluetooth menu bar icon. Select "Debug" then click on "Reset the Bluetooth module".

Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support -- Restart your MacBook Pro in safe mode, then restart normally.

Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support -- Make sure that interference isn't causing the problem.

Reset your AirPods - Apple Support -- First, disconnect your AirPods from your Mac, then reset your AirPods.

If the sound quality issue still remains, please contact Apple Support: Get Support - After selecting this link, choose Audio & Sound > Sound quality is poor.

Cheers!
