No Messages notifications after update to iOS 14.2

My wife and I recently received 12 Pro-Max with 14.2

Mine works correctly, and on hers imessage, sms or group does not work.

1. Did a complete erase/factory reset
2. redid the setup
3. same issue

On her X model, texting works find, even though its will not make calls

So she is having to use both, one for texting and other for calls...

MOST ANNOYING.

And from what have been reading, its across many Carriers, and even older iPhone all with iOS 14.2

Also there is an issue with the Bluetooth when using the Hearing aid feature...

REALLY Apple,, did you even fully verify ,, or are you using the "We test in production" methodology ???

I had this issue around April/May this year. It seemed to fix itself but has recently started doing it again. It really is frustrating now.

I have found doing a reset works, but only a temporary fix.

I have had to same problem and contacted apple support a month ago. I was hopeful at first and sent diagnostics, screenshots and screen recordings of the issue to the engineering team, After a lot of back and forth and I sent more evidence and reports I was called yesterday and was told it "may" be fixed in the next update and to check discussions like this for a resolution. I was absolutely appalled with this response and put in a complaint. If anyone is in the middle of waiting to hear back from the engineering team I would prepare yourself for a similar disappointing response.

My case had data sent to engineers with time stamps of messages that had errored but nothing has come of it yet. Have been told it will be a thing that is likely fixed in the next update. We are all just the unfortunate people that are stuck with the most infuriating glitch until apple decide they want to fix it for us

Having the same issue after updating to ios 14.2, this is so frustrating.

One thing I noticed is that the update changed the setting on the watched. Change it back to MIRROR IPHONE. But that did not solved the phone problem. Mine it intermittent

As far as I know, this is an issue that other people are having as well (including me).

and make sure that your iPhone is always updated to the latest iOS version.

I have the same issue - iPhone X on 14.2

WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are not showing notifications or messages despite all settings in phone and apps being correct and should be showing.

Very frustrating! Hopefully Apple fix this ASAP.

Same here. However, my Apple Watch also lost all contacts names. All I see are phone numbers of that contact on my watch now. I have to open my phone to see who’s name it is. I’ve tried all settings in watch app, etc.

i signed up for apple forums. com just to say hello i have this same problem too and it is really unacceptable because i have People in my life that have Needs, and me not responding to them for hours because i have NO idea they tried to contact me is, not good (in fact it is bad, even). this can have massive consequences if someone is, you know, in a medical emergency or whatever.

the real kicker is that it tells them that i read the message already, so they think i'm purposefully ignoring them. as stated previously, this is bad also. thank you for your time choash out

so I Updated my iPhone Se towards the IOS 14.2 but as everyone else I have problems with it because I don’t receive any notifications when someone reply to my message and apparently it marks as “read” right away which is not okay because I don’t receive any notifications that someone message me. Do someone know how to fix this horrible bug on this IOS 14.2 I should of never updated please help thanks.

Same thing for me on my iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14.2. No sounds, notifications, badges, or anything when I receive text messages from someone using an android device. I have missed several messages from my son in the Army. Nothing seems to fix it. 😢😬

My alarm clock also is no longer sounding or even indicating with a banner notification that the alarm has gone off. I do not get tones for iMessage or messenger. It all happened after updating to new iOS this week.

Same, but the problem extends beyond just messages. I'm not getting most of my notifications (Ring, Calendar). I've gone in and checked and even changed my settings to persistent made the hapics longer and the settings aren't sticking. One or two notifications will push to my watch but not all of them. I have an iPhone 12 pro and the latest iOS 14.

I already said my problem was not a notifications related problem but I spent quite a lot of time trying to figure that our. I assume some of the people discussing here have an app background refresh problem and they think it is a notifications problem. And I did restart several times before that and that did not help. So my fix to my problem (again not a notifications problem, but barely separable symptoms) was not because of the restart.
