personal finance app

What is recommended personal finance app for me for use on iMac with Mojave & Catalina & what follows Catalina. Need: tracking spending (& income) by payee and account; flexible reporting (ideally I can design my own report); ability to export reports for use in Excel (CSV ok); download of transactions from financial institutions. Dont need: investment tracking; ios device usage. I prefer to avoid having all data in the cloud (I have excellent backup and security at home).

Have been using Quicken Premier 2010 Windows and earlier for many years via Parallels and it would be nice to have the new software integrate history from that, but I can do without.

A mac version would allow me to drop parallels/windows as some point, probably soon.

I have been using Banktivity for years after switching from Quicken years ago. The free trial version will import. your Quicken files while you are learning it. For my needs (and from what you describe your needs too) it does everything and more Quicken did. You can find it at https://www.banktivity.com

I also like it because there are IOS versions, in addition to it being installed on my iMac it also is installed on my iPad and iPhone so I'm always synced and can manage my money from anywhere.
