Ever since the most recent software update, the delete key on my Apple Smart Keyboard no longer works to delete emails in Apple’s native mail app. It’s SUPER frustrating. I read a tip from 2017 that said if you go to the search bar and type something and then delete it, the delete key would start working again. Apparently this no longer works. Is anyone else having this problem?

I am currently running iPadOS version 14.2. After posting this question, I did more internet research and it seems that in the most recent software update, apple removed the functionality of the delete key in their native mail app. The fact that the delete key still works in other apps lends some credence to this.
Anyone get a resolution to this problem? I am having the same issue since updating to 14.2

IF this were a Delete-Gate then maybe. I know what you mean chiro50, this is really frustrating. I really want the iPad to be my ultimate computer replacement, but this makes it really frustrating.
