I have only just started to experiment with Sidecar, but it seems fairly pointless. I can get the iPad to act as a second display , but it doesn't respond to any touch. I have to use a mouse to interact with the display. Is this intentional? Would an Apple Pencil work if I bought one?

Right, the Macrumors video states that touch operation is not supposed to be used but the pencil is. Surprising that this is not made explicit in the Apple support article. Thanks!

I think I have, and I certainly looked at that article before posting. It doesn't so much as mention using your iPad as an interface once Sidecar is set up and working. My question is simple: can you use your iPad's usual UI (touch) to operate the Sidecar interface, or do you have to have a mouse? And would an Apple Pencil work?
