Facebook Live/iOS 14 does not recognize Rode I-XLR

I, too, am having this problem! Been using RODE Wireless Go mic for Facebook Live with no problems until Nov 10! Hadn’t changed any settings... so frustrating! Mic works with Camera app so it’s not a mic issue.

Me too same exact issue at same timeframe.

No changes except Facebook updates. Problem occurred prior to IOS14.3 update this week.

Actually once in a while the mic will stay on after hitting go live. The mic will be powered up with green while i'm typing in the comments, soon as I go live, the power to the mic goes out. No green light.

Am having same issue w/ my HypMic from Apogee. Was working flawlessly till late last year. Then I was able to get it to work after disconnecting and reconnecting but now as of January 13... that doesn't even work with my iPhone on FB Live... am not having issue on Instagram or YouTube Live shows. Only on FB Live. Really frustrating...

I have this same problem using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. My wife isn't having the issue and is using the same phone. We use a powered XLR microphone using the Lightning connector and a trrs to trs connector with 3.5mm input. I had intermittent issues where I had to plugin prior to starting the Facebook live video and then I had to wait until after starting the Facebook live video. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips and videos that I could find and even compared my settings with my wife's phone.

I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S21UltraG5 and am awaiting delivery. If anyone comes up with anything on the iPhone 12 Pro Max connection, let me know. Thank you.

If there is any good news for me today, it is knowing I am not alone in accessing Facebook Live with my IOS device (iPad) and brand new iPhone. This issue of being able to access Facebook Live with my IOS device and an audio mixer has been froth with difficulty. I've tried three different audio mixers with the same disappointment. The audio coming from the mixer won't be broadcast in the Facebook Live session.

I've gotten the right cables. I've gotten brand new Apple cables. I've tried an old Scarlet 2i2. I've tried a Mackie ProFX12v2. I've just tried a brand new Steinberg UR22-C. Using all the right cables. Using all the protocol, I can't get either of them to work. However, Facebook Live will only broadcast the audio from the microphone built into the iPhone and the iPad.

So, seeing that you folks are having the same problem is the only comfort I am getting out of this. I am not alone.

I have emailed Facebook and sent a call for help.

Please don't walk away from this page if you get a solution. I want a solution. Please share solution if you get one from Apple or Facebook.

I have no problem going on Facebook Live with my desktop Windows 10. The audio mixers work fine.

I’m having the same problem after updating to IOS 14.3. Face Book Live will no longer recognize an external microphone or line-in from a sound board. Even if you plug in the external microphone after starting fb live. I reported the problem to Facebook and heard nothing. Anyone have a a work around or fix to this problem? Will it work on an android or laptop?

I have tried wired and wireless mics with Facebook live and nothing works. Sometimes clicks but that is about it. Both types of mics work flawlessly using video recorder on iphone or plugged into a video camera. It's all a Facebook Live problem and I wish they would fix it. Everyone should post a complaint to Facebook and ask when they will fix this.

I use mixer to input audio sinal to Iphone when livestream on Facebook and the was no sound

But it work when using camera or recording

I used Streamlabs today and it also worked. I monitor comments on a second phone, because they do not appear in Streamlabs.

And NOW it does not work: does not matter whether I connect the mic before or after going live on facebook.

It is getting worse, no doubt about that. But **** this makes live streaming quite frustrating.

This is encouraging in the short term. Thanks so much for sharing the results of your efforts. I’ll go looking for this app now an run my own trials. With my Shure MV88+ mic hardwired I think my older 6S could manage its resources well enough keep up.

I'm having the same problem trying to connect a Rode Go wireless mic to my iPhone 12 to record video. I've used various combinations of adapters that work flawlessly with other devices (including a TRRS to lightning adapter and a USB-C to lightning cord) but, no joy with the iPhone. It now causes the Moment app to lock up and crash when using the "start the app first then plug in the mic" fix.

I am having the same problem everyone else is having with the mic not being recognized either before or after starting my livestream to Facebook. I am wondering if anyone has tried an iPad to stream to Facebook? And are you having the same issues?

IT DOESN'T WORK ON MY IPHONE XR WITH IOS 14 WITH THE FACEBOOK APP - AND I TRIED GOING TO FACEBOOK ON 3 BROWSERS AND IT DIDN'T WORK... I USED MY IPAD WITH THE SAME SET UP (NOT A RHODE MIC) AND USED THE FB APP AND IT WORKED... SO I'M PERPLEXED.

My compatibility with Facebook Live on iphone11pro and Rode Wireless go mic has failed again after a few weeks working after plugging in mic after starting. Think it definitely is a Facebook issue. So frustrating.
