MacBook Air 2017 crashes constantly

When you say crash, does the MacBook shuts off automatically?

did you do anything like add a program or use multi apps and then suffered those crashes?

i would run a disk first aid in "disk utility" that usually clears up any problems.

and try to stay within the  eco-system by using their apps and software until the MacBook air runs smoothly again.

safe mode is another method to pin-point any error as well.

No, it freezes first, for a few seconds and then the screen turns to black, but with a subtle dim light like coming from the edges of the screen.


I did 9 months ago add an extra HD inside of it, and in fact I had lots of problems due to this, because I upgraded to Catalina and had issues (can't remember well). The external HD is a 480GB Solid State PCI-Express Drive.
