Transferring data to new iphone 12 pro. It looks like its complete but the old phone seems to be stuck on i more minute until its finish. If I try and exit the message asks to stop transfer.

You need to be patient. The phones are still transferring data. I left my old iPhone SE and new iPhone 12 Mini adjacent to each other and both on charger power overnight. I'm not certain how long the last "two minutes" took, but it had already been in that mode for a few hours when I went to bed hoping this was just "normal."
The next morning, viola! All was well. Everything had transferred, including all of my previous phone's settings, screen background, photos, music, everything! Also, the old iPhone had been completely reset to factory settings. Nothing whatsoever remained on it.
Bottomline, be patient.
Exactly the same here. New phone looks and works fine, old phone still says transferring data, 1 minute to go. Been well over an hour so far and need to go out soon. 8+ too a 12
Same thing with me, old iPhone stuck on 2 minutes. I have gone through the whole process twice now and still the same outcome. I’ll leave it a bit longer but getting frustrated now
It just took a long time but I appreciate all the responses.
Same, said 1 minute left, the phones stayed next to each other overnight and it is still not done.

Thanks for the response. I end up resetting the new phone to factory and restore it from my iCloud backup with Apple support. Everything is good. Working well.
in your case, when you checked your phones next morning did your old phone say “transfer complete” ?
How come your old phone was erased and reset to factory by itself. I thought you have to click several buttons in order to wipe your old phone.
I had something similar when I was transferring from my iPhone X to my 12 pro and while it said the transfer was completed on both phones my iPhone X reentered the transfer spontaneously starting at the very beginning and just displays transferring with no estimate time or loading bar. This was quite frustrating since it barred me from transferring my cellular service from one to the other.
I have had the same issue transferring from iPhone X to 12 pro. I got my new phone activated Monday and have been able to use the new phone just fine! For some reason my old phone is stuck on transferring data screen and I’m afraid if I cancel it will remove something from my new phone. As far as I can tell everything has transferred - I see my contacts, photos, old texts, etc... I need to be able to factory reset my old phone tho so I can ship it back for trade in $$! It would be lovely if Apple could respond to this discussion board! :)
i have iphone 12 mini been transferring files from iphone 6plus since last night from 10pm- left it overnight woke up at 7pm still says setting up your apple id. Quite frustrated coz its taking so long. Both phones are still close to each other. what should i do?
Mine is the new phone (iPhoneX) where I want to transfer the data to from iPhone 6S. The screen is just Apple for hours now. Can't even turn it off..........My old iPhone 6S said that Transfer is complete.
Transferring from iPhone 10 to iPhone 12 Pro. It is stuck at “Time remaining: About 5 minutes” for like an hour. Very annoying.
