I placed my order right when pre-order started at 5:00 am on November 6th. However, it still says preparing to ship but says that it should arrive by Friday the 13th (it's the 10th today). I'm wondering if apple just lags in shipping updates or something, or what other people's orders say. I am in Canada by the way
With ALL iPhone launches you won't get see a status change until the last two days, when it goes from processing, to preparing to ship, to shipped. It all happens rather quickly. Rest assured if Apple told you your phone is coming on Friday, you'll get it Friday.
Fear not. You're phone will arrive in the time frame Apple told you. The waiting and checking and checking and checking can drive you nuts. Just relax. Apple has done this a few times.

When did you order the phone?
I have been ordering from apple online with US Apple Card to be shipped to my US address.
In that case I would suggest you call Apple and ask what the problem is.
I have called several times and nobody is giving me any answer. I even requested to speak to their supervisor and the next thing. They hang up.
I have been receiving orders from that address and besides i have already called Goldman Sachs. It is very frustrating that no one is ready to help me. Thanks.
And all of these people are saying nothing to you. Strange.
