Sustain pedal only sustains note when not pressed

I'm using an Alesis V49 with the sustain pedal connected to the sustain input. Pressing down on the pedal makes the note stop, and can only sustain notes when the pedal is up. How do I switch that back to normal?

Midi Sustain Won't Release in Logic Pro X I'm using Yamaha CP300 keyboard connected to my MAC. When I use Garage Band, everything works as it should. Sustain pedal works perfectly. When I switch to Logic Pro X everything works fine until I press the sustain pedal. Then it will not release the notes. It just holds them forever. D2 note sustain stuck in Logic Pro with Novation Impulse 49, on midi channel 1 only Hi! Logic Pro X 10.6.1 The D2 note stays "on" when Novation Impulse 49 is set to MidiChan 1 (wich I think includes all the midi chans... The only way to stop this sustain is to change Impulse's MidiChan to 2 or higher... But what can make it happen on MidiChan 1?

Midi sustain pedal not recording After I have updated my software to Logic Pro X 10.4.5, the sustain pedal of my Midi device (Technics keyboard) does not register or record. The pedal works when playing the keyboard, but as soon as I record MIDI, the sustain appears to be switched off. I can see that no values are coming through when I step on the pedal and playback also produces a recording without and sustain. Everything was working before the upgrade, so this is not a hardware problem or a problem with my Midi device, it has to be the new software. Can anyone please help?

Fixed, it has nothing to do with GarageBand. Just a switch on the sustain pedal itself that got moved causing the issue.
