GarageBand Launches but not responding…

I have an iRig HD2 connected to my iMac running Catalina (10.15.7). Now every time I try to launch GarageBand with or without the iRig plugged in the app launches but nothing happens and I usually have to force quit the app.


I have found that if I hold the option key down when I launch the app it sometimes behaves but not always.


Should I uninstall GarageBand and re-install it? It is most frustrating!

OK I have fixed this issue myself !


I uninstalled Garage Band and then reinstalled it from the AppStore and it looks like a newer version of Garage Band has been installed! I don't know why this didn't update when I updated to Catalina this summer but everything is fixed now so I am a happy Jammer again :-)
