Cannot connect PS5 controller to Apple TV 4K

Recently I received Playstation 5 controller. I wanted to use it with Apple TV 4K. I read on internet. That it should be compatible, but seems its not.

I tried to connect using manual for PS4 controller. Pushed PS button together with share button for until the light started to rapidly blinking. Then open bluetooth devices on Apple TV and it showed me nothing. I tried it few times, restarted Apple TV. Nothing works.

Is there any information if this a bug or software is not ready yet?

Any idea on if it will be supported in the future? Seems weird that they are pushing the remote play thing for the ps5 but you aren’t even allowed to use the new controller for it? really really dumb imo

I’ve just tried connecting ps5 dualsense controller to iPhone 10, iPhone 12 Pro, iPad10.5pro & atv4k all running 14.3b2 and it isn’t compatible yet.

It seems macrumors first reported that it was compatible but has since removed that part of the 14.3b1 page.

Same with me, I couldn’t connect the Ps5 controller to MacBook pro! [Tried with iPad pro, iphone beta 14.3... doesn't work]

Eager to have hands-on in Steam with the new Dualsense controller!!

Waiting for apple to set things up!

i have an apple tv 4k. tvOS 14.4 latest public beta and i have the Duel Sense in pairing mode and it just never shows up as an option. I think it will not work with it for now as it may be a sony exclusive. It does not even work for Playstation Now or the PS 4 Pro. On PS4 pro it can pair up but that's it... does not work.... works only on ps5

The PlayStation DualShock 4 Wireless Controller is listed as compatible, not other PlayStation controllers.

I don't think it's in 14.3 beta - tested and not working, not even in accessibility -> touch devices. wireless or hard wired

It appears that tvOS 14.3 Beta 2 does support it. But I did not try it myself so far. I expect 14.3 to be released mid December.

This is not true. This lets not try to spread this wrong information. As of right now 14.3 (beta 1 or 2) does NOT support the ps5 controller.

Yes, you are right. I've installed the beta but still it cannot be connected. Strangly I can pair it with my MacBook Pro but the controller will not show up in bluetooth devices on iPad or AppleTV.
