Desktop disappeared

All my desktop icons have disappeared. Desktop screen in Finder is blank. I have found the document I was last working on in Recents. Where has my Desktop gone?

My Desktop is missing from Finder Sidebar. I don't know where it went. There was a folder containing desktop icons but I did not create it. I don't know how it got there. I thought I could just move the icons onto the blank screen I was looking at but I didn't realize that what I was seeing wasn't the actual 'desktop'. That's when I noticed it was missing in the Finder Sidebar. How do I restore it?

Desktop not showing icons // Right click not working Hello, Suddenly my desktop is not showing any icon, and nothing happens when I right-click. The files and folders are there, I can see them on Finder, but when I go to my desktop, everything is missing. Also on Finder when I go to the top bar menu and go to File - New folder and many other options are greyed-out. Does anyone have this issue or know how to solve it? It literally happened from one to the other without any reason. I didn't install anything. Thanks!

Check Sys Prefs>iCloud & see if iCloud Drive got enabled.
