IOS 14.2 Phone Problems

Is anyone else having issues with phone calls specifically after downloading IOS 14.2?

I am having 2 specific problems.

#1-Some incoming calls are not showing any call notification. It’s like they never called unless they leave a voicemail.

#2-Once I am on a call every one drops after a few minutes and will even happen multiple times if the call is long.

My service is Verizon Wireless. Not sure if this is a IOS issue or Verizon issue?

iPhone XS, iOS 14

Chatted with Verizon tech today. They had me shut down my phone and wait 2 minutes while they did a system reset. Didn’t work. Tested a call and it dropped in about 3 minutes. Next had me go to General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. After the phone restarts, had to re-enter WiFi password. It seems to have worked. I have steady 2-3 bars instead of wildly variable 1-4, and tested two calls over 5 minutes with no drops.

Unfortunately I had already tried this - but no go. Interestingly the calls drop on the Xfinity router - but - if I use my old Time Capsule (disk has died but it lives on as a router) everything's fine. in other words - "apples to apples" works great. Apple to somebody else's router.. not so much. Anyone else struggling even after resetting network settings?

I want to tell you that I started this string at LunaGdog and my issues of dropped calls and no incoming call notifications are happening on a 10S.I think this is an issue with 14.2 no matter what device number you have but agree that a Billion dollar company like Apple should be able to identify problems from this and figure out a fix.

I'm having the same problem. iPhone 11 updated to 14.2. Immediately started dropping calls after a few minutes. Also not receiving some incoming calls. They don't even show up under missed calls. Tried the network reset to no avail. Tried all the other suggestions. Have an Xfinity router and Verizon carrier. other iPhones in the house have the same problem.

This is really ridiculous! Has anyone found a solution?

I turned off WiFi and used only cellular per LunaGDog. Had no issues-worked great for 24 hours. . Turned WiFi back on last night. My daughter tried calling twice. Never came through. No missed calls registered. Calls started dropping again during conversations. Is this a problem between Apple and my Xfinity router? Whose problem is it? My router was replaced in March.

I updated my cable box and the problem seems to have gone away. I have Verizon phone service and Comcast for internet. It seemed to me to be a switching problem where the call would get dropped in between the router (Comcast) and the tower.

I just kept trying different things and the new box seemed to work. Nobody told me this but try to get a better cable bo and see if it helps.
