IOS 14.2 Phone Problems

Is anyone else having issues with phone calls specifically after downloading IOS 14.2?

I am having 2 specific problems.

#1-Some incoming calls are not showing any call notification. It’s like they never called unless they leave a voicemail.

#2-Once I am on a call every one drops after a few minutes and will even happen multiple times if the call is long.

My service is Verizon Wireless. Not sure if this is a IOS issue or Verizon issue?

iPhone XS, iOS 14

Chatted with Verizon tech today. They had me shut down my phone and wait 2 minutes while they did a system reset. Didn’t work. Tested a call and it dropped in about 3 minutes. Next had me go to General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. After the phone restarts, had to re-enter WiFi password. It seems to have worked. I have steady 2-3 bars instead of wildly variable 1-4, and tested two calls over 5 minutes with no drops.

I had no problems with dropped or missed calls until my 14.2 update the other day. My service hasn't changed (Verizon), my location hasn't changed (work from home since March because COVID-19), and I've tried resetting the network settings. No, airplane mode is NOT on, nor is the date/time bad, nor is the do-not disturb on.

Apple, fix this, please! Tell us how! My brother has missed 2 important calls, and I've been dropped from work calls to the point I am cursing to my boss. The lack of support I have seen people getting from Apple about these major issues with 14.2, is troubling. It is impossible to work with a phone that drops calls every 2 minutes now. I am ready to drop Apple and go back to Android. These issues are important!

Like everyone else here, I've had dropped calls consistently since iOS 14 update. Changed out the SIM card. Didn't help. Got a new phone from Verizon. Didn't help. This is clearly an Apple issue that, as far as I can tell, they haven't acknowledged. I've had iPhones since the iPhone 3G, but I'm done. I'll be switching to an Android phone as soon as I can make arrangements to back up everything to another cloud.

I have the same setup, but can't turn off my wifi calling because I don't have a strong enough cell signal at home to make business calls. One other thing: we do have xfinity service, but I use an external router & booster. Calls are dropping all the time, so much that I warn every single person that we will probably get disconnected. I am super frustrated as my business relies heavily on phone calls.

Turning wi-fi calling off didn't help me. Calls still drop every 2-5 minutes starting right after 14.3 update no matter where I am. Has happened on the road, at hotels, at home, etc. Bars seem unstable - will go from 4 bars to 1 suddenly even if I haven't moved and then the call drops. I've tried all the suggestions and nothing has helped. I'm so frustrated!! I have Verizon - seems like 80-90% with this issue have Verizon. Apple needs to figure this out otherwise I'm switching to an Android!
