Updating MacOS

MacOS Big Sur has been out for just over three hours and I am yet to download it. When I started, it said it would take 24 hours to update but then it would fail. Now when I try to download it a message immediately appears saying "Installation Failed".

Any idea why this is and how to fix this issue?

It stays "about 2 hours and 21 minutes remaining" for about 20 minutes and then it gives me this error: I tried to move from Big Sur to Monterey thinking that perhaps I needed to go from 11 to 12 before 13. This is the error I get when I try to upgrade to Monterey: “The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKDownloadError error 8.)" I'm not sure what is wrong and I would love any advice on how to fix this. I appreciate any help! Thanks!

"The file can't be found." on booting... Everytime I start my MacBook Pro (intel chip), I get two error message. Both say "The file can't be found". This has been happening ever since I updated to big sur. I have to click on "OK" (twice) to make them go away. Neither does it tell you what file can't be found. I just updated to Ventura 13.1 and the problem remains. As does the control strip/touch bar issue. Is Apple going downhill...SMH.

The update servers are overloaded. You’ll have to wait a few days.
