New MacBook Air M1 and Super Ultrawide Monitor Support

So the tech specs for the MacBook Air and Pro M1 both say only connects to one external display up to 6K resolution @ 60hz.


Can one of you video gurus answer if this will be able to support a 32:9 Ultrawide monitor running 5120x1440p @120hz? Thanks for the help!

Hi have an MBA M1 and trying to connect to my Acer ultra wide at 3440x1440


Max res i see is 2560x1080. Even when use Options to display other available resolutions the max I see is 2560x1440


Connection is using HDMI using Choetech USBc adapter


How can I get the 3440x1440 resolution? Should I be using a different cable? DisplayPort to Thunderbolt perhaps?
