In previous versions of MacOS I was able to reply to notifications as they came through (within the notifications) - I can no longer see this options even for built in apps like Messages.
Has this feature been removed or am I missing something?
I really hope it hasn't been removed as it was a big part of my workflows!

Thanks Jeff - it looks like this feature isn't available for the Messages app which is was in the previous MacOS.
I've attached a screenshot with what I see - this is less Product Feedback and maybe a bug report - are they both submitted on the same form? (I edited the image to remove the name and message content)

We understand you would like to reply to your messages from the Notification Center in Big Sur.
With Interactive Notifications, you can reply to a message from the notification. You will see an options menu at the bottom right of a message which will then provide available options for that message.
If you have feedback about this feature, please send that to Apple from Product Feedback.

The options that you see are expected in Big Sur. When you select Show More, you should then have the option to reply. Feedback about this and other macOS features can be sent from Product Feedback.
