How do you snooze calendar notifications more than the default 5 min?
In Catalina, you could long-press the Snooze button and get a choice as to how long the notification was snoozed. I tried it in Big Sur and I don't get the list.

No, the manual just says that if the notification has the Options button, click Options then click Snooze. There is no option to long-press Snooze to get different snooze durations. They used to have long-pressing Snooze to get different durations in the Calendar documentation for Big Sur, but they changed the documentation shortly after 11.1 was released. They have removed references to long-pressing which tells you that it isn't a bug; they actually removed the ability to get different snooze durations. Do NOT expect to see it come back with the next release. If you want to see that ability to come back, file Feedback with Apple as they do not check this forum. Something like that happened to me in Big Sur as well, where I was trying to connect my MacBook Air to my Printer to scan something, but it kept on saying "Failed to open a connection to the device" I've tried restarting the printer, but it didn't change anything, so I restarted the Mac as well and it was resolved.
This is absurd. Not having the ability to choose a snooze duration *at the time one chooses to snooze* effectively makes the calendaring system useless for me. Who in the **** knows in advance , every time, exactly how long they want to snooze an event? Good grief apple..
Agree that this feature needs to be restored in Big Sur. Click-and-hold the "Snooze" does NOT work to bring up a list of times-too-snooze. I use the functionality a LOT and would appreciate getting it back!
This was NOT helpful. It did not answer the question. Please put back the option under alerts to snooze for various amounts of time. This was in place such that when an event alert came on screen, you could snooze for 5 minutes, or 15 minutes or 2 hours, etc., with a drop-down "snooze" menu under the alert. Two options to consider:
1) Apple no longer reads any of the user input here. As a longtime user, there was a time when Apple would steadfastly delete any comments that were critical or negative toward Apple. I'm shocked that these comments have stayed up as long as they have so perhaps Apple just doesn't read them anymore.
2) Apple does read these comments but doesn't care.
Not sure which is worse.
I also have "Big Sur" and it has lost the option to snooze for anything over the default. For important things I set 1 day before and then snooze it as needed - I now cannot do that. Please bring back the choice for snoozing.
I've made the switch to Outlook 365 which has WAY more snooze options than Apple Calendar ever had. This has got me looking at Windows laptops now for my next purchase.
Way to go Apple. You forced me to completely abandon your ecosystem. But on the other hand, the app icons sure look swell.

It seems so unbelievable that I just assumed it was me being stupid and not seeing how to do it!
It's driving me so nuts having notifications come back every 5 minutes that I end up turning them off and missing events because of it!

Well, it is a way to fix a bug, by adjusting the manual.
I'm sure that when Big Sur was available the manual was as I said it was (I checked it with Apple), now they might have adjusted the manual.

What really bothers me is that such an easy, but so unbelievable meaningful, logical and useful option is deleted with a new release, why?
It's simply unforgivable that Apple would take away snooze for calendar events. Why? This is not how a company should treat customers. Many (myself included) depend on snooze and to suddenly remove this feature that is a standard feature in every calendar program is a slap in the face to users. This reeks of a ploy to get users to "upgrade" to subscription calendar programs in the App Store. Bring it back!

I left some feedback and I indicated that I believe the previous snooze function with options for 30 minutes, two hours, etc., should be considered an accessibility. There are people who have memory deficits who rely on it to make sure they get to their appointments, etc.
