Snooze Calendar Notifications in Big Sur

How do you snooze calendar notifications more than the default 5 min?

In Catalina, you could long-press the Snooze button and get a choice as to how long the notification was snoozed. I tried it in Big Sur and I don't get the list.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

No, the manual just says that if the notification has the Options button, click Options then click Snooze. There is no option to long-press Snooze to get different snooze durations. They used to have long-pressing Snooze to get different durations in the Calendar documentation for Big Sur, but they changed the documentation shortly after 11.1 was released. They have removed references to long-pressing which tells you that it isn't a bug; they actually removed the ability to get different snooze durations. Do NOT expect to see it come back with the next release. If you want to see that ability to come back, file Feedback with Apple as they do not check this forum. This forum is strictly user-to-user support. Here is where you can file Feedback: https://www.apple.com/feedback/calendar.html

They definitely do read it, they just don't care. Say something they really don't like and watch your post be censored within minutes. It's truly outrageous how badly they've broken such a common sense feature. You can try the feedback form, but they don't care about that either, you won't even get a reply. Apple is really not a good company with good UI anymore.

Remains the question, why did they remove it? You have to actively do something to remove existing functionality. We can call on to restore (we probably all did, which is perfect). But if we know what drives it, we can probably argue more directly with arguments and reason, which should have more impact, shouldn't it?

Maybe, as macOS Big Sur introduces changes in the way the notifications work, they just thought the feature was useless and they didn't have to keep it with Big Sur. But we have to let them know that this feature is in fact very useful (and used by lots of users) by sending feedbacks (see my post above).

It is unlikely that we will ever be able to get that information. Apple doesn't talk about things like that.

Not at all ! It works for both beta software but also released software. That's a more direct way to tell Apple what you think, and with FA you can also add screenshots. But as it is more complete, it is basically only accessible to developpers, Appleseed members and public beta program members, but once you are registered you are able to send feedbacks even if you don't currently run a beta software.

It is intended for beta software use. The link I gave is where you should be submitting feedback for released software and hardware.
