Snooze Calendar Notifications in Big Sur

How do you snooze calendar notifications more than the default 5 min?

In Catalina, you could long-press the Snooze button and get a choice as to how long the notification was snoozed. I tried it in Big Sur and I don't get the list.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

No, the manual just says that if the notification has the Options button, click Options then click Snooze. There is no option to long-press Snooze to get different snooze durations. They used to have long-pressing Snooze to get different durations in the Calendar documentation for Big Sur, but they changed the documentation shortly after 11.1 was released. They have removed references to long-pressing which tells you that it isn't a bug; they actually removed the ability to get different snooze durations. Do NOT expect to see it come back with the next release. If you want to see that ability to come back, file Feedback with Apple as they do not check this forum. This forum is strictly user-to-user support. Here is where you can file Feedback: https://www.apple.com/feedback/calendar.html

Yes... I don’t understand how they are able to take such bad decisions they wouldn’t take if they were seriously using their apps!

But Apple is known for over-simplifying things without any other purpose than design (like the « new » look of Spotlight).

But it is how it is, and we have to continue sending feedbacks, especially after every update that doesn’t address the issue...

I noticed another very weird change, you cannot repeat activities on only weekdays, it is now days or weeks, months etc.. But I have a lot repeating activities only during weekdays. The old ones, which were sett previously, remain active but for new ones the - most logical option - for choosing weekdays for reminders and activities, seem to have disappeared. I do not want to be reminded of my daily management meetings on Sunday in church! What is going on? Anyone?

Thanks Mark for the third-party app! But what I usually like about the fact of buying apple products is specifically the fact that the built-in app are integrated and fine. That was the case with the Calendar app... and still today I find this app quiet useful and well done on both iOS and macOS devices... except for the snooze feature we lost !

A system upgrade should improve existing features, not remove basic ones !

And btw, I juste checked on Windows 10... and the Calendar app is just awful, but at least there is still a feature to snooze notifications ! And it do the job.

That would be a good argument if people were asking for something that Apple never offered on a MacBook; however, it is something they have had for years and they took it away. Because they offered it, many people used it and now need it for their workflow. They wouldn't if it hadn't of been a choice from the start. Out of the tens of thousands of Apple employees I would think there would be many of them that use the snooze option in the calendar so I'm guessing that the Apple employees use Windows computers. :)

Every working professional with a busy schedule needs this feature. It's a common sense feature, that's why it was there through many versions. Perhaps people that use their computers as toys don't need or want it.

Not true. I am a very busy working professional. I don't use that feature. I'm not sure why it's so hard for you to accept that not everyone has the exact same needs that you do. I'm not denigrating your need/desire for the feature. I don't understand why the need to assume that people who are happy with something different are less busy, less professional, or less smart.
