Snooze Calendar Notifications in Big Sur

How do you snooze calendar notifications more than the default 5 min?

In Catalina, you could long-press the Snooze button and get a choice as to how long the notification was snoozed. I tried it in Big Sur and I don't get the list.

No, the manual just says that if the notification has the Options button, click Options then click Snooze. There is no option to long-press Snooze to get different snooze durations. They used to have long-pressing Snooze to get different durations in the Calendar documentation for Big Sur, but they changed the documentation shortly after 11.1 was released. They have removed references to long-pressing which tells you that it isn't a bug; they actually removed the ability to get different snooze durations. Do NOT expect to see it come back with the next release. If you want to see that ability to come back, file Feedback with Apple as they do not check this forum. It's a start, but what about the other options that were so useful for planning purposes? A common situation for me is a reminder to make an airline reservation for an event a few months away. When a notification pops up 4 weeks in advance I might need to wait until the following day in order to have adequate time. The snooze for one day option was perfect. Given the new options, I would need to snooze it every hour for the next 24 hours. The "2 hours before" setting was also useful for prepping for a meeting. With the old settings, I could easily snooze it for a day. It seems as though Apple has never heard of the old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Still very dissatisfactory! Please keep sending feedback directly to Apple... everyday! https://www.apple.com/feedback/calendar.html

I remember when Apple was something to be in awe of for its user friendliness and efficiency, but now, "for me/ in my opinion" (quotes added for Idris Seabright's benefit) it STINKS: it has the worst apps in the world for Calendar (Notifications), Contacts (Notes) and Messaging (forwarding, deleting before recipient reads it, etc). I've never used Mail because of its inefficiencies -- and now I've to contend with the .HEIC format in Photos when sharing images. I could make writing feedbacks to Apple a full time job...

to sword 19 -- I use GMAIL (Google Mail) -- you can chose it as your default and copy all the information now in Mail to GMAIL (that will not erase what is in Mail.). You can also set it so any other email addresses you have, be it gmail or other, go to the same inbox, etc. So although all my emails, old and new, appear also in "Mail," I do not access them in Mail at all. You can authorize Gmail to access your Apple contacts and this way you don't need to duplicate entries, or you can enter them in Google Contacts, too. Your choice. As you become more proficient in using Gmail you will find out that it offers many more features that Mail does not. Its "search" function is far superior than Mail's.
