AdGuard knows there is an issue but they claim they can't fix it from their side… yet the problem goes away when you uninstall their software:

AdGuard was suspect because its extension was clearly mentioned in the backtrace:

Kernel Panics are predominately caused by hardware faults or faulty third-party kernel extensions.

I would try and upgrade your Parallels Desktop or delete it using the official uninstaller and test.

You can trouble shoot further, as a test:

—Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc. Login and test. Reboot and test as caches get rebuilt.

In Safe mode third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled, it removes malware, etc hampering smooth operation, however a reboot will put it back to normal mode.

This test will tell you if third party interference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

I am not running any external monitors, but have made the following changes to further troubleshoot.

  • Disabled Automatic Graphics Switching for Battery and Power Adapter "states"
  • Set "Turn display off after:" to "Never" for Power Adapter "state'

Made those changes this morning and have not crashed yet.......will see if it makes it through the night :-)

Curious how many with this issue are running Little Snitch? I am and just received a notification of an update for it.....so will see if if makes a difference. If anyone has any additional insights on how to read the Apple dumps to better isolate what is causing the issue....let me know.....they are not very useful from a general user perspective (but I still submit them all to Apple) :-).

I am going to throw a possible solution to you guys.

I am hesitant to call it a solution because it deals with unchecking a box under BATTERY settings.

I don't run my laptop on battery. However, I do use an external monitor sometimes and this setting has something to do with that.

Allegedly, this fix has worked for a few people. I would suggest to try it. I changed my battery setting yesterday and so far, no kernel panics.

Jump down to the diagram where it shows you to go into SETTINGS -> BATTERY and uncheck the box.

There is also instructions to disable GRAPHICS SWITCHING but I don't want to play with that just yet as it can cause some undesirable issues.
