I bought my iPhone from the T-Mobile retailer, mine was manufactured during the 2nd week of December and I received it and saw that the contrast and the screen had a overall yellow tint. Instantly got annoyed about it, but kept thinking about it and decided to order one from Apple directly. I received it today and it seems like the new one is a lot better, the contrast and the grays and blacks look a lot darker. However, the white is still a bit warm, but is a very minor problem now. I think Apple might be fixing it slowly through the manufacturing process. I would recommend to exchange or return and purchase it again to get a different batch and try your luck

Lobsterghost1... it was a dig overall. I too, was accused of being an Apple employee when I first arrived in this thread. Hence the word... “alleged”. Lol!

As I stated, it’s not about liking it or not... the concern is should it be that way in the first place? I too, have grown used to it. But it can get quite murky looking when in certain lighting environments.

Thanks for clarifying. I have managed to stir up some ire in this thread simply for suggesting I like the screen on my phone. That said, it seems over time, my screen is whiter than when I first got it. Either I've just grown accustomed to it, or over the last few updates, Apple has been adjusting the screens in the background. Either way, mine seems pretty white now. Or at least white enough to not bother me at all.

But that’s the problem!! apple knows that most of apple users won’t go back to android.. they can do whatever they want. And that is starting to make me angry. We are paying more every time and they’re getting worse. The fact that they dont even give us a charger anymore? For a phone that expensive?? Unacceptable.

A friend of mine is having battery issues with a new iPhone she just bought and they even deny her right to warranty and say everything is fine, when the phone is for no reason sometimes losing over 7% during her sleep...

Getting out of context but really, I’m simply *****d off

Agree, and the disdain they give us because we feel we have no choice irritates too. But they are not immune from the impact of this. It means I won’t change my phone again until the next model I’m considering is 6 months old. If its not perfect I wont upgrade. Same for iPad. I won’t recommend any freinds to move to apple - I did last year; luckily they bought an 11.

Reputations do take time to destroy, but keep at it and they will. Samsung may be no better in terms of cynicism, but they are half the price. People buy apple because they want hassle free best in class. If that’s not the case, a lot of people will save their cash. I won’t, I don’t like android, but it will slow down my future apple purchasing. They have lost my trust.

Well 6% during your sleep is very acceptable. It depends on many things as well. For example my wife’s iPhone 12 is losing about 8% overnight because of very bad reception. My provider has good reception and I lose about 4% overnight. Generally speaking, losing 0,5 to 1% per hour is considered to be normal and it’s not a battery issue.

But no matter what issues you you get with iPhones, do you really think an android phone would be better? Especially battery-wise? I doubt it. And as having in my possession a Samsung phone from my employer (almost as expensive as my personal iPhone) I can tell you it’s trash.

it’s not normal for a brand new phone , and it depends on how long you’re sleeping. My brand new iPhone loses max 2% during sleeping time. Over 7% is not normal , even the battery report that we can see in the battery definitions shows a big battery loss during sleep time, and mine stays stable while not using...

I definitely wouldn’t change to Android, I’m only talking about bad costumers service, that has been decreasing over the years

Yep. Suck it up, Apple don’t care, won’t change it now. I had a Xs; same!

I bet the iPhone 13 will come out hailed as the most true whites ever. Make it **** so you can market the fix as an improvement.

I wonder if there is a colour cast caused by this new glass. I’m not impressed with the new glass. Over 3 years my X and Xs never had one scratch. In 5 months I have no less than 3 small scratches on the 12. Always in a folio case.
