I bought my iPhone from the T-Mobile retailer, mine was manufactured during the 2nd week of December and I received it and saw that the contrast and the screen had a overall yellow tint. Instantly got annoyed about it, but kept thinking about it and decided to order one from Apple directly. I received it today and it seems like the new one is a lot better, the contrast and the grays and blacks look a lot darker. However, the white is still a bit warm, but is a very minor problem now. I think Apple might be fixing it slowly through the manufacturing process. I would recommend to exchange or return and purchase it again to get a different batch and try your luck

Can someone explain under what circumstances the screen gets green? When I play a dark screen from YouTube my screen it’s pure black at any brightness level. Also true tone it’s a bit yellowish but not like night mode. I don’t see any issues yet... to me seems like a OLED panel issue, if it was software related don’t you think all iPhones will be affected? Unless Apple uses different manufacturers for the oled panel .

I recently received my new iPhone 12 pro max, had the same issue. It’s not any hardware issue.

All we have to do is go to the

Settings->Display&Brightness -> True Tone - Turn off. And they you will immediately see the expected Tide machine cleaner whiteness and gets rid of the jaundiced yellow color. :) Hope this helps everyone who is panicked with their new iPhone 12 pro screen color.

Got the same problem with my iphone 12 pro. Changed to another one in the store, still have the same problem.

Comparing to the demo phones, the demo phones are definitely better. Slide the brightness of the demo phone to the lowest, it is almost black. But on my phone, it is much brighter. Slide the brightness to the maximum, the demo is brighter.

I have the same problem. I noticed it as soon as I started the phone. I compared it to my 7plus and it is very different. With trutone turned off it is better but not fixed. If I go into accessibility and adjust hue it is better but still not right.

S/N starts with F2LD.

It's nasty. This is a black eye for Apple. If I tilt the phone the white point shifts. Not good.

I have a 12 pro max and my friend got the 12 pro, we both have the yellow tint and neither of us have the green tint, I am aware that these are big issues and I have heard SUPPOSEDLY Apple told their employees not to service these issues on the iPhone 12 test because they’re aren’t sure if it’s hardware or software yet, I wouldn’t return it, what I did was go to settings> accessibility> display & text> color filter> and then selected what is shown below, I would wait a 1-3 months for it to be sorted out and either fixed with software or if it’s hardware they should replace it for free because it’s a defective display.

Bump lol.

I am having the same issue with the mini. i just got off the phone with a seemingly knowledgeable lady and she said wait for the next iOS update as they are working on these “reports”. i asked if i should go to my carrier or compare more phones in case of hardware differences in panels or something, but she said just wait, we’re under warranty. My issue is not your guys in arlo yellow or green True tone tint. mine is like old school paper very light yellow hue. My 11 pro max looks like the nice white compared to my 12 mini. so i guess i’m waiting for the new ios. I already have 12.1.2 didn’t fix anything. hopefully that helps. i’m still checking panels at sprint store or best buy.

Surprisingly I have yellowish colors on my company iPhone 8plus which I did not really detected in the past. I just wonder if the colors’ spectrum is not changing based on environment (light intensity, night, ...) and maybe a recent iOS update, seems to be on all iPhones... I don’t use any of the colors features available. But I have my iPad which has a very strong white !!! So there is a problem...
