Mac mail flags not working - Big Sur

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue btw and It's super frustrating. The fact that Apple have not sent out a PR explaining it's a bug in the system and offered a update is ridiculous.

Does anyone else hate Big Sur as much as I do??? It's ugly, rounded corners cartoonish, even the sounds are annoying. Looking forward to the next change. If I could go back the old OS I would.

justinec16's technique doesn't work for me. I'm on a MacBook Pro running Big Sur, 11.2.1 This isn't the first issue I've had with Big Sur. Wish I had never upgraded. It's annoying.

I want to see flags next to emails in Inbox I don't want to have to go to separate folder to find flagged emails in BIGSUR email
