No HP Drivers for Big Sur.

My printer has been rendered useless. Previously, I'd get the message "hpdm.framework will damage your computer". HP told me to uninstall the old drivers using their uninstall app, which I did. Now, I have to download a driver compatible with the latest macOS, which I could not find. Are there any printer drivers released from HP or from Apple???

This procedure worked for my HP Photosmart C4280 printer with the same problem: Delete the HP folder in ~Library/Printers then remove the printer from System Preferences.

Download the drivers from Apple Support

Reinstall software and add printer in System Preferences. I’m running Big Sur 11.0.1. Now I can scan and print again like before. Good luck!

THANK YOU! New Laserjet mfp283 ... with Big Sur: Working well until trying to print >30 pages when <low memory, job cancelled> message appeared. Tried multiple ways to clear memory with no luck (and certainly no luck with HP - online support a complete joke/waste of time) and was stuck until finding this. Worked like a charm. Still haven't tried large number of pages but all looking good for now. Very grateful JC

I'm using a 2020 MacBook / Big Sur with LaserJet MFP m283cdw printer along with HPEasyScan and HPSmart with no problems. I had an earlier issue having set up the MacBook to use same model printer in another location which worked fine there, but then would not work with the printer at this location. Two links below - the upper one is what I think resolved the problem - but it did require a complete clean reinstall. During attempts to fix, I also tried second attached link - one of the two did resolve the problem, but am not certain which of the two.

I also have a record of having downloaded this when trying to solve the problem. https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/ASU/HewlettPac...

Hi

Just looked at previous post and noticed the link for the first driver did not post. Here is the driver which I think - with a clean reinstall - worked for Big Sur and MFPm283cdw LaserJet
