I'm thinking of buying the new Mac mini and I have a 2013 iMac 27 inch with I would like to use as a monitor. So far I think it would work in target display mode but I could not find not that much informations about that . Can someone confirm it will work please ?

The Mac driving the iMac in Target Display mode must be 2019
or older. 2020 Macs will not work regardless of what version of
macOS is used on the TDM iMac, period.
I would like to do the exact same thing. I'm hoping the article is a bit stale (pub. April 21, 2020). It states:
"Target display mode requires macOS High Sierra or earlier on the iMac used as the external display. It does not work with macOS Mojave or later."
But I currently use TDM with macOS Catalina (10.15.7). I'm tempted to try it at the store.
It won't work with a 2020 Mac mini.
