Anyone elses Iphone 12 Pro max rear camera appearing black in the Camera App ? Also the flashlight has stopped working which makes me suspicious, front camera seems fine, it hasn't been dropped or anything and everything worked fine for a couple days until this afternoon. Wondering if I'm maybe missing some weird setting with the new camera features that is making everything black or disables the camera module ?

No one wanted to believe a brand new phone wasn’t working either, they all wanted to think it was user error, if you have a store close enough from wherever you bought it , I’d try to get it swapped for a new one asap. Over the phone they all tried to get me to send it in for repair under warranty. If you get on with AppleCare they can remotely run a hardware diagnostic to definitively test the rear module.
Same issue . Already had it checked at the service center twice and the phone has also been through a trip to the service center . It was fine just after coming back and now the same problem has happened for the Third time

this happened to me with opone 11pro max. Took it to Apple and they replace it for a used phone which made it worst. The phone they gave me has so many issues and now I have to deal with all this. After paying more than 1k and for them to give me a used one?
Just as I said it won’t occur again a couple of days ago then it did. Since my last post it occured like 5x already.. It is a brand new iPhone mini 12 bought from the apple store and having to deal with this issue is ridiculous. Apple should release an update that rectify this error immediately.
Me too! I haven’t contacted Verizon yet but I’ve had the phone for less than a week, also has not been dropped. The weird thing is the camera will work if accessed from snap chat or through messages, just not if I go into the camera directly.
I should add I've rebooted/power cycled, reset all settings, tried diff photo apps, everything short of a full reset/restore.
I’m having the exact same problem. It was working fine but today it’s completely black. Powered off and everything- no changes. My phone is less than a week old.
my 12 pro max has major heat issues around the camera unit making the phone too hot to use, I wonder if I will be the next to fall victim to this issue.
Would I need to bring it to provider (Verizon) or Apple store?
I have the same problem camera just stopped working and front camera is working but sometimes get frozen...!!! New cellphone didn’t complete a month yet!!!
I’m in Jamaica so I’m not even Sure if an apple store is here , one of my family members in Florida bought it for me so what should I do because I have the same problems n it’s a new phone 😡😡😡
