Mail Toolbar updates in Big Sur

Three questions, or maybe they are just observations.

1) Big Sur wiped out the toolbar I has carefully crafted. Is there a simple way to get it back?

.....Assuming the answer is "no".....

2) Does anyone know how to get Filter out of the tool bar?

3) the Toolbar search field for mail used to be directly above the left-most column, Inboxes or Messages. Now it's stashed mid-screen. Does anyone know how to move it to the left?

Thanks

Figured out the adding and removing of toolbar items with the help of the video above and a bit of trial and error as I couldn't seem to do it at first. Spent half an hour on the phone trying to get through to Apple support about the left toolbar issue (GSpice, my reason is identical - I don't want to move my cursor halfway across the screen just to mark something as Junk and get it put in the Junk box!). I also use flags a lot so moved that to the very left of the current toolbar. As and when I get through to Apple I will post the answer, if there is one (hopefully!), and also advise if there isn't.

I had the same situation. Removed Toolbar and Reinstalled Toolbar in order to customize it. You can customize without going through the steps I used. Open VIEW. Customize Toolbar is down in the last box in the thread. You can do anything except customize to be identical to Catslina and toolbars going back to OS X. Filters seems to be there for life. I have been able to drag and drop after moving icons to the toolbar. I was accustomed to it being MY toolbar and not one I could not fully customize. So far the Filter remains as the first toolbox command over the Inbox messages. Sorry. Maybe someone else has found a path. But be happy with the fact we can do most anything else to Mail in order to customize. It was nice and something one never imagined to be taken away, but if Filters is the worse that can be done then I am pleased. In fact, after customizing as much as possible I was pretty happy knowing that I can go back in and do more, this before I made my battery run down in 30 minutes of use while plugged in to keep it from draining. It drained anyway.

Another way to make your workflow more efficient is to use a macro app like Keyboard Maestro to create macros to do what you want with a simple keystone, like ⌘+F1. I use it and have over 100 macros I use. I used one to add the Keyboard Macro link in this reply.
