Has anyone had issues with the rear glass cracking mine broke very easily by placing the iPhone 12 pro and iPhone 12 pro Max back to back to check sizes.

There is no action for Apple to take here. Glass is glass and glass can break. Samsung phones are glass back and they can and do break. Google phones are glass back and they can and do break. If you purchase AppleCare+ Apple will replace the phone for $29 if the glass cracks, not $99 as I believe one of your posts suggested. If there is other damage, with AppleCare+, the replacement cost will be $99.
Since you seem to be really miffed you own a phone which has glass and the glass can break, here's an idea for you. Put a screen protector on the back glass, like most people also put on the front glass. It could really help if your phone falls because screen protectors often absorb the impact and the protector may crack, protecting the back of your phone. You say that, but the claim was made for the screen, not for the balance of the phone.
The case of the Samsung Galaxy S21 is also prone to breakage, so going Android doesn't mean the end of your issues.

Mine too they lied like it was getting fixed and I ended up with a whole new IMEI number
Is there glass on the back side of the 12 pro max??? Not sure about y’all, but the back of my 12 pro max has a full, not shiny or slick back that I’m 99.99% sure is not glass. 🤨

The same happened to me, except it was when I got the phone :( I went to out a case on to keep it safe and the phone cracked while I pushed the case in place in the back
This just happens to my wife’s phone as well. Changing cases and it broke.
Why even make the rear glass except to farm repair dollars
Any glass will break if subject to the right forces.

Tens of millions of people have put their iPhones into just as many cases without breaking the phone.
If you like, the staff at your local Apple Store will be happy to try it for you.
The fact is that the iPhone 12 has glass on the rear part of the phone which cracks easily.
Will every phone made by Apple have this problem from now on?
