Looking for constructive support here - does anyone have any information on any constructive and proactive action Apple has taken to resolve this issue?
There is no action for Apple to take here. Glass is glass and glass can break. Samsung phones are glass back and they can and do break. Google phones are glass back and they can and do break. If you purchase AppleCare+ Apple will replace the phone for $29 if the glass cracks, not $99 as I believe one of your posts suggested. If there is other damage, with AppleCare+, the replacement cost will be $99.
Since you seem to be really miffed you own a phone which has glass and the glass can break, here's an idea for you. Put a screen protector on the back glass, like most people also put on the front glass. It could really help if your phone falls because screen protectors often absorb the impact and the protector may crack, protecting the back of your phone. Here's a link to some you could order on Amazon --> https://www.amazon.com/s?k=screen+protector+back+glass+iphone+13&ref=nb_sb_noss_2
No, YOU missed the point that when you drop something made of glass there is always a chance it will break, whether it is from 60 feet or 3 inches.
12pro back glass crack
Yep.
When dropped or hit in a case.
Glass breaks.
Prise
Dropped on the corner.
Replace it or put a case on it.
Yes things can break but it shouldn’t be so easy... this glass seems very sensitive, more so than any other model I have seen. Try not to be so rude and dismissive of others.
This happened to me as well
Glass backs are the best for allowing wireless (Qi/MagSafe) charging.
Thats why they are used on iPhones as well as those from Google and Samsung.
really disappointed with apple support here in the my country as well. All they can suggest is use a skin to covered it up.
Yes, no one has managed to violate the laws of physics as of yet and come up with stronger glass.
Same I have a I phone 12 no drops in a case and the back glass got a hair line crack
i change my screen protector on my 12 pro max and only make this causes scratches on the screen…. I never see this on another iphone.
Off topic, and quite ridiculous too.
Not at all.
As I posted elsewhere, all smartphones may have this happen, including Google and Samsung phones.
I think your not understanding the issues on this thread or your working for Apple.
Personally I am no longer going to look at your mischievous threads.
