Double-click and highlighting not working on MacBook Pro mouse & trackpad after upgrading to Big Sur. Any advice?

If you are still having functionality issues, can you provide a few more details? Have you tested with an external mouse or trackpad? Did you notice this issue as soon as you updated your Mac? Also, have you experienced any trackpad or mouse issues prior to updating?

thanks so much for the reply. I did fix the issue. It turns out the problem was very simple. When I upgraded to Big Sur, the display contrast was altered. The mouse was functioning just fine, but I could no see the change in colour and so thought it was not working.
