Contact group list not recognized in iPad for emailing

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to send a group email using your iPad, but can on your iPhone.

Have you ensured this contact group is part of the same internet account linked to your iPhone?

A group is set up on iCloud on main computer . On iPad the contact app shows the group with people in it. But when an email is addressed to the group name it says there are no members???
