RESOLVED! iPHONE STUCK ON PREPARING TO TRANSFER FOR 1 HOUR+

Hi all,

Tried this 4 times on my new iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB from my iPhone 10 XS Max 256GB , and thought there was a bigger issue. (I waited 45 minutes stuck on the preparing screen and thought it was broken and gave up)

-I tried to reset network settings etc

-Read articles online

In the end I spoke with a friend who told me to be more patient.

I tried again and literally ended up having to wait over an hour, but it started working after that!

Patience is key (If stuck on "Preparing" more than 2 hours then you've probably got a problem!)

@Apple it would be good if there was some indication that this will be a LONG process and even a progress bar if possible for this "preparation" mode in future.
